You are in control of your data on Snacc. This page explains how to delete your account and personal data, how to export a copy first, and what we may keep and for how long.
Delete your account in the app
You can permanently delete your account directly from the app:
- Open Snacc and go to Settings.
- Tap "Delete account".
- Confirm your identity with the one-time code we email you.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so we recommend exporting your data first if you want a copy.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we remove your profile and the personal data associated with it, including your username, display name, bio, profile photo, your snaccs, comments, reactions, follows, bookmarks, uploaded images and your saved push-notification devices.
What we may keep
We may retain a limited amount of information after deletion where the law requires it or where we have a legitimate need — for example, records of financial transactions such as withdrawals for tax and anti-fraud purposes, and records needed for safety and to prevent abuse. This information is kept only for as long as necessary and is then deleted. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before they are overwritten.
Export your data
You can download a copy of your data before deleting your account:
- Open Snacc and go to Settings.
- Tap "Export data".
- We generate a machine-readable copy of your data for you.
Can’t access the app?
If you cannot sign in, email us at privacy@snacc.fyi from the email address linked to your account and ask us to delete or export your data. We will verify your request and complete it within 30 days.
